GHOSTS
RELEASE DATE: 06th July 2024
It took longer than expected to get the third album underway due to the whole Covid / lockdown fiasco. As the world stopped and most people took it upon themselves to learn a new skill, write a novel or make other self-improvements, I decided to do absolutely nothing and take a break from everything, but it didn’t take long for the urge to play music to start calling. Once we were in a regular flow of rehearsing again, we started making plans to work on the third album.

Having worked with the same Producer for several years, we all agreed that we wanted to approach the new album differently. The songs had a different feel about them, and we knew just the man to brings our ideas to life. Owen Davies, owner of Loud Noises Production, had been our engineer for all the drum tracking on the first two albums and produced the closing track J.O.Y. from ‘Open Letters’. Owen signed up to produce the new album and we couldn’t wait to work with him.

When we started the album, we didn’t have a complete list of songs ready, instead we were finishing off songs, writing new material and even recording demos in other studios throughout the recording process. At one point we lost track of how many songs we’d recorded and discussed whether it should become a double album. In the end, we scaled down what we had to 15 tracks, making this our biggest album to date.
